Cover Reveal: Reckoning (Songs of Chaos, #4) by Michael R. Miller

We’re honored to do today’s cover reveal. When Michael was last here, it was for the cover reveal of his Dragon’s Blade Trilogy plus Unbound and Defiant. This time, we will be revealing the cover art of Reckoning, the fourth and penultimate installment in the Songs of Chaos series. If you are unfamiliar with this series, The Songs of Chaos is a dragon rider epic fantasy that takes inspiration from such celebrated works as Eragon and Pern. In Michael’s own words “It’s about a serving boy who defies society to save a blind dragon from death and rises to become a dragon rider. A bit of cultivation/progression magic is sprinkled into this one.” Since the cover reveal of Defiant, I am happy to say I have made good progress on the series, and I’m about to dive into Defiant as we speak. I have read everything by Andrea Stewart before, and The Bone Shard Daughter remains one of the most entertaining debuts I’ve read. This will be the start of a new series from Stewart, and suffice it to say… I’m excited to get around to it. We have an exciting post today. Novel Notions will be hosting the cover reveal of the new cover for The Fall of the Giants by Gregory Kontaxis. This is the second book in The Dance of Light series.

The cover was inspired by a scene from the second book of The Dance of Light series. The swords of the elwyn, one of the first races in the world, have the ability to absorb the light that resides within them. This light is dangerous for the wyverns and the tigers of the north.

This series was inspired by several great stories, written by J. R. R. Tolkien, J.K. Rowling, Brandon Sanderson and Mark Lawrence. It is also inspired by Greek mythology and other Greek tales about war, magic, loyalty and bravery.

We have an incredibly exciting post today. Gollancz has asked Novel Notions to host the cover reveal for one of my most anticipated fantasy debuts of 2024. Kavithri by Aman J. Bedi! I haven’t read this book yet, but the author has mentioned Kaladin from The Stormlight Archive, the Bridgeburners from Malazan Book of the Fallen, Berserk by Kentaro Miura, Evangelion, and Vagabond by Takehiko Inoue to be the main inspirations behind this South Asian epic fantasy novel. Those are some of my top favorite stories in fantasy novels, manga, and anime. It is an honor for me and Novel Notions to share the fiery cover art of Kavithri.
