Cover Reveal: Kavithri (The Ghosts of Ethuran, #1) by Aman J. Bedi
Hi everyone! Petrik from Novel Notions here.
We have an incredibly exciting post today. Gollancz has asked Novel Notions to host the cover reveal for one of my most anticipated fantasy debuts of 2024. Kavithri by Aman J. Bedi! I haven’t read this book yet, but the author has mentioned Kaladin from The Stormlight Archive, the Bridgeburners from Malazan Book of the Fallen, Berserk by Kentaro Miura, Evangelion, and Vagabond by Takehiko Inoue to be the main inspirations behind this South Asian epic fantasy novel. Those are some of my top favorite stories in fantasy novels, manga, and anime. It is an honor for me and Novel Notions to share the fiery cover art of Kavithri. Without further ado, here’s the STUNNING cover reveal of Kavithri, the first book in The Ghosts of Ethuran trilogy by Aman J. Bedi!

An action-packed and empowering South Asian fantasy epic. An underdog story like no other – Kavithri will remind you of fantasy heroes like Arya Stark, Fang Runin or Gideon the Ninth.
Meet Kavithri. Outcast. Underdog. Survivor.
Kavi is a Taemu. Her people, once feared berserkers and the spearhead of a continent-spanning invasion, are the dregs of Raayan society. Their spirits crushed. Their swords broken. Their history erased.
But Kavi has a dream and a plan. She will do whatever it takes to earn a place at the secretive mage academy, face the Jinn within its walls, and gain the power to rise above her station and drag her people out of the darkness.
Except power and knowledge come at a cost, and the world no longer needs a Taemu who can fight. So they will break her. Beat her down to her knees. And make her bleed.
But if blood is what they want, Kavi will give them blood. She will give them violence. She will show them a berserker’s fury.
And she will make them remember her name.
I want to give my special thanks to Aman J. Bedi & Gollancz for allowing Novel Notions the honor and pleasure of hosting the cover reveal for Kavithri. As fantasy enthusiasts and self-proclaimed connoisseurs of book cover art, it means a lot for me and all of us here at Novel Notions to be given this opportunity. It goes without saying that I’m looking forward to reading Kavithri!
