We have an exciting post today. Novel Notions will be hosting the REAL cover reveal to the hardback edition of Death’s Beating Heart by Rob J. Hayes. Apparently, after posting the gorgeous cover reveal to The Titan Hoppers by Rob J. Hayes a few months ago, I am lucky enough to be given the chance to host another awesome cover reveal for Hayes’s books. I haven’t read this one yet, but many have voiced their opinion on how good the series is. And as a fan of The Mortal Techniques series by the author, I have faith they’re right on this. And as a bonus, before you see the cover art to Death’s Beating Heart, the final book in The War Eternal series, as a refresher I will post ALL the previous cover art for the hardback in the series first! ENJOY!

Ain’t they SO GORGEOUS!? This is one of the best set of cover arts I’ve ever seen! Kudos to Felix Ortiz and Shawn T. King for creating such magnificent cover arts! And this is what Rob has to say, in a spoiler-free way, regarding the book!
Death’s Beating Heart is the 5th and final book in The War Eternal series. It is releasing on all formats except audio on December 26th. Audio will follow later. The artwork is done by Felix (of course!) and the design by Shawn (of course!).
I won’t bother including the blurb for Death’s Beating Heart as it’s full of spoilery goodness for anyone who hasn’t read the rest of the series, really. Instead, I’ll provide a brief series synopsis.
The War Eternal is a dark epic fantasy in the vein of Prince of Thorns or Assassin’s Apprentice. It follows a young woman named Eskara Helsene, better known as the Corpse Queen. It’s an uncompromising look at her successes, her failures, her rise and her fall. And it all starts in the deepest, darkest hole; an underground prison known as the Pit.
